For so long I had looked and felt so much older than what I actually was. I had tried many different weight loss diets and strategies, including liposuction, going to the gym, Weight Watchers, Gloria Marshall, and so it goes on. All of them proved successful to an extent, but I always managed to put the weight back on plus a lot more. I felt so depressed, had no self esteem and what was worse, my weight was affecting my life, including my marriage. I just felt I wasn’t completely me anymore.

I remember when my daughter got married, I felt I was at a crossroads, no longer needed or wanted by anyone, which made me spiral further, feeling miserable and lacking self confidence. To be honest, If things kept going the way they were, even my marriage wouldn’t have lasted. It was at this point I realized, ‘I’ve got to do something for myself’.

Soon after, I saw an advert for a Bariatric seminar, so I booked myself into it straight away, and haven’t looked back since.

Everything about the whole experience has been very positive. I haven’t had nearly as much pain as I was expecting, I recovered very quickly, now come to think of it, I didn’t have one set back the entire process.

The surgery has changed my life in so many ways. Pretty soon after the surgery I started losing weight. I started getting back a lot of confidence which was great. I decided to apply for a job, and now work in a wonderful position in a jewelry shop. My marriage is absolutely fantastic; we are planning to renew our wedding vows soon. I feel so much younger, so vibrant and full of life, I just feel healthy and happy.

This whole experience has been so successful, Id do it all again in a heart beat.
